Part one of a series shot in the Lisbon zoo.
Other parts of this series Captivity - part II [link] Captivity - part III [link] The zoo dates from the first decade of the XXth century, but most of its habitats date from the 60's and 70's. Concrete and iron are predominant. To me zoo's are a macabre place, since i was a child they always depressed me and it is the depression of its inhabitants i tried to convey with this sequence of shots. hope you like it. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
