The zoo dates from the first decade of the XXth century, but most of its habitats date from the 60's and 70's. Concrete and iron are predominant.

To me zoo's are a macabre place, since i was a child they always depressed me and it is the depression of its inhabitants i tried to convey with this sequence of shots.

Genial, lindo tão carregada de emoção através de um olhar de alguém que apesar de ter outra aparência também tem direito a ser detentor de sentimentos e deste modo, através de uma "jaula" de ferro, um aprisionamento de que nunca teve a oportunidade de recusar, olha, por entre o minúsculo espaço que permite ao seu triste olhar procurar a esperança da liberdade...
