Part one of a series shot in the Lisbon zoo.
Other parts of this series Captivity - part II [link] Captivity - part III [link] The zoo dates from the first decade of the XXth century, but most of its habitats date from the 60's and 70's. Concrete and iron are predominant. To me zoo's are a macabre place, since i was a child they always depressed me and it is the depression of its inhabitants i tried to convey with this sequence of shots. hope you like it.
